Privacy Policy

What this site collects

This is a static site. It has no accounts, no logins, no comment system, no advertising and no third-party tracking or analytics scripts. It sets no cookies of its own, and there is no profile of you being assembled anywhere on it. Pages are files, served as they were built.

That is not a privacy posture adopted for its own sake so much as a consequence of how the site is made, but the effect is the same: reading these pages does not hand me anything about you.

The contact form

The form on the contact page does not submit anything to this website. It composes a message in your own email application, pre-filled with what you typed, which you can then read, edit, or discard before sending. Nothing typed into it is transmitted to this site, and nothing is stored here. If you close the page without sending, no record of it exists anywhere.

Because it works that way, the message travels through your own email provider and mine, on the ordinary terms those providers set. Email is not a secure channel, which is why the contact page asks you not to send privileged, confidential or case material through it.

Server logs

The server hosting this site records the ordinary information a web server records when a page is requested: an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested, the referring page where a browser supplies one, and a user-agent string. That happens at the hosting layer, for security and operational reasons, and it is a standard feature of serving a website rather than something added here.

Those logs are held by the hosting provider under its own retention practices and are not used to build profiles, to target advertising, or to identify individual readers.

Email you send me

If you write to me, the message and any attachments sit in ordinary business email systems so that I can read and answer them. Correspondence is kept while a matter is live and afterwards for the period a professional record needs to be kept, and it is not sold, rented or shared for marketing by anyone.

You can ask me to delete correspondence, and I will unless there is a legal or professional reason to retain it — a live matter, an obligation to preserve, or a record I am required to keep. Say so in writing and I will confirm what has been done.

Links to other sites

Pages here link to platform policy pages, regulations, court opinions and published studies, because a claim about a platform is worth nothing without the operator's own words behind it. Those sites are run by other people under their own privacy practices, and following a link takes you outside anything described on this page.

No advertising network, social widget, embedded video player or comment service runs on these pages, so no third party is observing you here on my behalf. What happens once you click through to an operator's help center is governed by that operator's policies rather than by this one.

Changes to this policy

This page is revised when the site changes, and the version you are reading is the current one. If something material changes about how the site handles information, it will be described here rather than announced elsewhere.
